What to expect
Brookgreen lights more than 2,700 hand-lit candles and millions of lights along the garden paths, with holiday music and warm cider. The organizer says Travel+Leisure named it the best Christmas lights in South Carolina.
Entertainment and food
- Five 45-minute sets at 4, 5, 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 p.m.
- Tree lighting 6 to 6:15 p.m. in the Arboretum.
- Rotating food trucks near the Entertainment Stage.
- Harvest Restaurant: reservations recommended, and you must also hold Nights of a Thousand Candles tickets to dine there.
Tips for families
- Dress warmly; you are outdoors on garden paths.
- Traffic is sometimes heavy, and the organizer encourages carpooling.
- Buy only from Brookgreen or its ticketing company, Leap Events. The organizer cannot guarantee tickets bought elsewhere.
