About Andrew Jackson State Park

This park near Lancaster tells the story of Andrew Jackson's boyhood in the Waxhaws, with a small museum, a replica 18th-century schoolhouse and Anna Hyatt Huntington's statue of the young Jackson. There is also a fishing lake, nature trails, a campground and picnic areas.
