About St. Phillips Island State Park
St. Phillips Island is a 4,680-acre barrier island near Hunting Island, once Ted Turner's private retreat and now a National Natural Landmark. Visitors reach it by guided boat tour or by renting a house; it has about eight miles of trails, a boneyard beach and old-growth maritime forest.
