About Oliver C. Dawson Stadium
Oliver C. Dawson Stadium is South Carolina State University's football stadium in Orangeburg, built in 1955 as Bulldog Stadium and renamed in 1984 for longtime coach and athletic director Oliver C. Dawson. A 1994 refurbishment raised seating to 22,000, and the field is named for coach Willie Jeffries.
