What We Could Not Confirm

Not confirmed: we looked for these on official pages and did not find them. Check with the town or operator before you rely on them.

  • The Town's beach parking page shows a fee schedule dated for the 2025 season in places; confirm current fees on the Town page before you go.
  • Sea Pines gate pass price for a day visitor: the Sea Pines pages we read give no price (only the dining reimbursement note).
  • Harbour Town Lighthouse admission price: the Sea Pines page says tickets can be bought in advance but shows no price.
  • Harbour Town Lighthouse closed days or holiday hours: the page lists 10 am to 7:30 pm daily only.
  • Dogs at the lighthouse or in Sea Pines: not stated on the pages we read.
  • The Town's beach page no longer loads at the older address (404), and the Town's alternate host blocked us, so we used the Town's current beach pages only.
  • Lowcountry Ferry (named on the visitor site) page showed no schedule or fares, so we did not record it; the Island Head page above is the operator page we read.
  • Island Head's street address for Broad Creek Marina and its full current timetable by date: not shown on the pages we read; check the operator before you go.
  • Ferry times differ between Island Head pages (about 1 hour vs about 45 minutes); we report both as stated.
  • Whether golf carts and a few cars only are allowed on Daufuskie beyond what the visitor site says: not confirmed on an official page we read.
  • Daufuskie Island Ferry (daufuskieislandferry.com) from the county's guide: that site did not show a ferry page when we opened it, so it is not used; Beaufort County's passenger guide PDF would not load.
  • Last-updated dates: the Town beach and pathway pages show no date.
