What We Could Not Confirm

Not confirmed: we looked for these on official pages and did not find them. Check with the town or operator before you rely on them.

  • Harbor-only sightseeing cruise: the Fort Sumter Tours pages we read describe only trips that go to Fort Sumter; none lists a harbor-only cruise.
  • ID and security screening rules: neither the NPS pages nor the operator pages we read state any.
  • Fort Sumter island hours: NPS gives only the Visitor Center and Fort Moultrie hours; boat times are set by the operator.
  • Current alerts: the NPS alerts page we read is dated 2021 and lists none, so check it again before a trip.
  • Ferry ticket prices on the NPS site: not listed there; the prices above come from the operator's own tour page, which shows no page date.
  • Operator page showed combo-tour prices on its homepage; those are partner packages and are not recorded here.
  • Whether the National Park Service alerts page is current: it showed no alerts, but the date on it is June 18, 2021. Check nps.gov/fosu for today's closures.
